IDPS at PeaceCon 2023

IDPS organized a virtual session as part of PeaceCon 2023 to explore the role of effective multilateral engagement in achieving SDG 16 in fragile and conflict-affected settings. Against persistent challenges that limit progress on coordination such as political will, scarcity of resources, and information availability, several opportunities were identified. These include exploring the diverse role that private sector can play in transforming financing approaches to peace, creating opportunities for peer knowledge exchange and capacity building among countries affected by conflict and fragility through South-South and Triangular Cooperation, and fostering inclusive spaces that amplify the perspectives and experiences of communities impacted by conflict and governance challenges.
