Fort de son h\u00e9ritage en tant que fervent d\u00e9fenseur de l\u2019int\u00e9gration de l’ODD 16 sur les soci\u00e9t\u00e9s pacifiques, justes et inclusives au sein de l’Agenda 2030<\/strong>, l’IDPS pr\u00e9sentera<\/strong> lors de cet \u00e9v\u00e9nement sa d\u00e9claration conjointe appelant \u00e0 une acc\u00e9l\u00e9ration des progr\u00e8s vers la r\u00e9alisation de l\u2019ODD 16. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/section>

Lors de la discussion, les participants seront invit\u00e9s \u00e0 r\u00e9fl\u00e9chir aux fa\u00e7ons dont un engagement multilat\u00e9ral, r\u00e9unissant diverses parties prenantes, peut contribuer efficacement \u00e0 la r\u00e9alisation de l’ODD 16 dans les contextes fragiles et touch\u00e9s par les conflits.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div><\/section>

  • L’\u00e9v\u00e9nement visera \u00e9galement \u00e0 identifier comment l’IDPS, en tant que plateforme de dialogue politique, peut renforcer les synergies entre les engagements pris lors du Sommet sur les ODD et ceux du Sommet du Futur pr\u00e9vu en 2024, en s’appuyant sur les engagements des \u00c9tats membres et en favorisant des actions communes par le biais d’un dialogue politique ouvert.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n

    Their remarks reflected on the current challenges that have inhibited progress on SDG 16 and peacebuilding more generally. Representatives highlighted fresh thinking on how to enhance our current peacebuilding and development cooperation models to reflect the need to scale up conflict prevention, including with an eye to realize the potential for preventive diplomacy as a key but underserved priority within networked multilateralism. Speakers also discussed how IDPS as a political dialogue platform can support linking SDG Summit commitments to the Summit of the Future in 2024, building on Member States\u2019 commitments and promoting joint action through open political dialogue.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section>
